more thoughts ....

aim for the stars, you reach the sky ....
but should you fall (on the way)
damn, you fall hard !

ornamentaion may have been a crime, but, minimalism is escapism.... !!

at what point does the urge to do well (pressure of the future) take over .. converting one into a workaholic?

what is by definition a workaholic?

does working hard to secure the future necessary means workaholic?

its not tha cause but the effect that in this case particularly matters.

whether u work like a dog to secure ur future or for the love of it or for anything else, workaholism to me is about working like a donkey irrespective of the reason.

so is what u are saying aimed at being a smart worker and not a hard worker ... n if that u r the latter, u are a workaholic?

naah i feel its just an addiction to learn something one crave for or rather to explore things of interest to the core that you dedicate yourself to it..after all working is not only about producing products admired by self its also about learning in the process of producing which can be accidental or intentional...
@ tapan.. i don't think donkey work is exactly workaholism..donkey work is rather a pressure one puts on themselves to judge themselves on the basis of their performance with respect to other humans, sometimes out of any interest in the work they do..

like alcoholic humans yearn for alcohol irrespective of reason why they yearn it differs from person to person

workaholicism is a good thing. revel in geekdom :)
work should be done for oneself except sometimes, const. wd and services need to be completed and they can be completed for the sake of completing them too!!!!... nothing bad about it... dont wait for a moment when you 'want' to do technicals....know the difference between working passionately and working with a passion :)
